The Refuse To Be A Victim program teaches citizens how to be safety against criminal activity. It is not a firearm-based course. Women tend to make up about 70% of our audiences, so it is a great new wrinkle for Pureland Security to have capable women instructors running this special training.

We teach a nice & easy version of NRA’s Basic Pistol that caters to the actual pure-beginner.

Classes limited to 6 or 8 students. It can be difficult to find a class that won’t go over your head if firearms knowledge and culture is unfamiliar. There are two reasons for this: Instructors just can’t remember what it was like to not know the basics so they tend to talk at their own pace rather than find the pace that the student will best absorb; and two, fast tends to be more fun than slow, so classes usually speed up.
Our enjoyment in instructing is derived from your satisfaction. The more you actually learn and the more obstacles you overcome the more pleased you are. We keep it basic and have fun properly catering to the actual beginner.
We have upcoming 2 Instructor Certification Trainings: April 21 IDW – Instructor Development Workshop for Refuse To Be A Victim seminars & April 28 & 29 BIT/BP – Basic Instructor Training on the specific discipline Basic Pistol (B.I.T.B.P. or BB for short).
We call it a Mobile BB when we run the program at an outside venue. This one will be at a neighboring town gun club.
Instructor Trainings are very valuable experiences. In life, when we prepare ourselves to give to others we benefit our own integrity powerfully. We have some students who choose to attend our programs specifically for the growth opportunity. Pureland Security welcomes this while primarily we do cater to persons planning on using their certification to run NRA programs.

The purpose of the PSN is to provide support, encouragement, share experience basis, provide opportunity to discuss results and situations and to elevate the effectiveness of your NRA offerings.
PSN has the goal of keeping instructors active as well as providing missing keys that enable instructors that have lapsed into inactivity to return to instructing. There are reasons that one may put aside this calling and there are ways to rejuvenate and clarify the direction.
Pureland Security Network also offers students an added confidence that they will be treated to a respectful environment and taught at an appropriate pace by NRA Instructors who place a strong emphasis on quality teaching.
NRA's Refuse To Be A Victim Seminar, Feb 2012
NRA has awarded Guy Masterson with the Regional Counselor Certification for Refuse To Be A Victim Seminars.
Guy has proven himself the exception to the rule. The program that permitted certified firearms instructors to become RTBAV instructors without formal seminar delivery training and at minimal expense was terminated by NRA Training Department due to lack of fruit. It proved difficult for instructors to make this transition. Guy proved the exception to the rule and proceeded to produce quality seminars that students reviewed for NRA with positive outcome, and nearly every month since receiving the initial RTBAV certification.
The National Rifle Association, in the form of recommendation by Ruthann Sprague, director of Refuse To Be A Victim Program at NRA Headquarters in Virginia, has called upon Mr. Masterson to train new instructors to provide this crime prevention knowledge to the American citizenry. Given the fact that teaching these is challenging, it will be worth checking back to see if Guy is able to train people to succeed in the delivery of these seminars.
